The Sound of the City
Six hundred years of sound, music and dance in Antwerp are brought to life in Museum Vleeshuis. A compelling history of street performers, trumpet players, carillonneurs and ladies from the bourgeoisie.
Museum Vleeshuis celebrates the sounds of the city with multimedia and sound clips. The museum stimulates the senses with music on the streets, in the tower, in dance halls, churches, theatres and at kiosks. 'The Sound of the City' highlights the playing of music itself, but also the origins of music printing, the tradition of instrument makers, concerts and opera in the concert halls of yesteryear.
Music makes the city happier and warmer but, as a visitor to Museum Vleeshuis, you will already know that.
