Next to Antwerp's Central Station, which is one of the most beautiful stations in the world, another tourist highlight awaits you. Antwerp ZOO is one of the oldest and most famous zoos in Europe. Step inside the gate and enjoy an oasis of calm in the heart of the city. The beautiful gardens, the characterful listed buildings and, of course, the animals: it is the perfect setting for a fun outing with your family or for a romantic day together with your partner.

Close to the animals

Of course, the animals are centre stage in the ZOO. In the Valley of the Apes, you can walk among the chimpanzees and gorillas. In the Savannah, you can admire a herd of Cape buffalo and lots of beautiful birds. Thanks to the enormous size of the window of the Reef Aquarium, you stand among the fish and corals. Penguins, giraffes, hippos, lions, butterflies, koalas... you can find them all in the ZOO. Finally, don't forget the Skywalk. You can also enjoy a panoramic view of the historic garden. 

Food and drink

Fancy a snack and a drink? At a variety of locations inside Antwerp ZOO, you will find several cosy places to eat and drink. Finger food at Grand Café Flamingo, lunch at the Savannah restaurant, ice cream at Latteria... what will you choose? Of course, you may also bring your own picnic.
