Whether you're hanging out with your friends at a café or enjoying a movie or dance until the early hours... these tips will help you immerse yourself in Antwerp's nightlife.
Cocktail bars
Get your night of dancing off to a festive start with a delicious cocktail or mocktail! Antwerp is home to plenty of cocktail bars offering fantastic creations. Cocktails at Nine, near the cathedral, serves cocktails and champagnes in a beautiful interior that includes an open fireplace. In Het Zuid, you can go to Bar Burbure or to SIPS cocktails, where ‘old school’ cocktails are on the menu. More recommendations? Try Dogma, Belroy’s or Bardeau.
Cafés
Antwerp is home to hundreds of cafés of all types and in all neighbourhoods. Our tips? Head to Dageraadplaats, the bustling heart of the belle-époque neighbourhood of Zurenborg. Or discover the cafes of the lively Mechelseplein, where in addition to students and regulars you often meet artists, actors and performers. Want to immerse yourself in the world of Belgium's best beers? Then you will be more than welcome at the Beerlovers Bar, Paters Vaetje or Bier Central, where you can choose from hundreds of beers.
A fantastic panorama
Will you pass by the MAS during your night out? During summer hours, the promenade and panorama are open until midnight. On each floor, you can enjoy a different view of Antwerp by night. On the rooftop terrace, you can take in the entire city, the river and the port.
Clubs and discos
Ampere, located under Central Station, has quickly become a fixture for fans of house and techno. On the Eilandje you will find two top clubs: Club Vaag, which is THE underground club of the city, and Club Lima, where fans of R&B will feel right at home. On the border of city and the port is Ikon, the former Noxx. And Cargo Club in Antwerp's Red-light District is loved by the general public and the LGBTQIA+ community alike.
Fancy a movie, a theatrical performance or a gig? These are the best venues in Antwerp.
