Unspoilt nature and architectural gems. Picturesque harbour villages and Europe’s first skyscraper. Moor in a trendy harbour district with beautiful architecture or in a marina with plenty of water recreation and the most beautiful view of the city. Visiting Antwerp by ship is an unforgettable experience.

Antwerp City Port

The city port area has several beautiful locations where you can moor your passenger, event, training or heritage vessel, such as the docks in the old port district, het Eilandje, or the renovated Scheldt quays close to the Historical Centre. The city port is also the base for a number of cruise boats with which your passengers can explore Antwerp and its world port.

Willemdok marina

In recent years, the old port area of Antwerp has been transformed into Antwerp’s trendiest district: het Eilandje. In the middle of this district, you can moor your pleasure craft in the Willemdok, which is surrounded by beautiful warehouses full of restaurants, cafés and clubs. However, the most architectural and cultural attractions are the MAS | Museum aan de Stroom, Red Star Line Museum and Havenhuis. Check out the Antwerp City Port website for more information about, for example, the Londenbrug turning times, the tides and the available facilities.

Antwerp-Linkeroever marina

Perhaps you are more a fan of nature and (water) recreation? Then the marina in Antwerp-Linkeroever - on the other side of the Scheldt - is definitely for you. In this green city district there is an outdoor swimming pool, the city campsite and a beach. On and around the Galgenweel, the largest semi-natural brackish water lake in Flanders, you can enjoy wakeboarding or sailing. You get to enjoy the best view of the Antwerp skyline for free. Via the free Sint-Anna ferry service or the almost 100-year-old pedestrian tunnel, you can be in the Historical Centre within fifteen minutes. Reserve your berth on the Antwerp marina website.

With a cruise ship to Antwerp

Sea and river cruise ships moor at Het Steen, an 800-year-old castle and the official visitor centre of the city of Antwerp. Antwerp’s oldest building is situated right next to the Historical Centre, thus no unnecessary loss of time with bus transfers! River cruise ships can also moor further south (at the Scheldt quays in the Sint-Andries district) or further north (in the Kattendijkdok in Het Eilandje). Discover all the advantages and facilities of a cruise to Antwerp.
