Sunrise over Antwerp

If you have no trouble getting up early, we recommend that you go out to admire the sunrise over Antwerp. Go to Sint-Jansvliet and take the pedestrian tunnel to the left bank (Linkeroever). Once there, walk along the Scheldt in northern direction. After a while you will reach the terrace, which is where you have the best view to see the sun slowly rise between the MAS and the cathedral.

Walking along the Scheldt

You could, for instance, follow the 3.2 kilometre long poem by Peter Holvoet-Hanssen on the flood defence wall on the quays or take the footpath along the Maritime Open Air Museum Boeienweide on the left bank (Linkeroever). Jog along the marina, Sint-Anneke beach and follow the Scheldt bend for the best view of the port of Antwerp.
